OUR FOUNDING STORY

The Organization I Needed Before I Knew How to Ask for Help

Scars of Resilience was founded from a simple but powerful realization: no woman or girl should have to carry her pain alone.

For many years, I encountered experiences and life challenges that left emotional scars I did not fully understand. Like many women, I learned how to keep moving forward, how to appear strong, and how to carry difficult experiences quietly. Yet beneath that strength were questions, pain and emotions that often had no safe place to go.

What I remember most is not only the adversity itself, but the loneliness that came with it. There were moments when I wished there was someone to listen without judgment, someone who understood, and a safe space where healing was just as important as survival.
